Put That Phone Down!

If you live in British Columbia, you are most likely familiar with new distracted driving penalties that went into effect earlier this year. At our North Vancouver driving school, we strongly encourage our students to put their phones on silent, and make sure they are not out during our driving lessons.

As of June 1, 2016, fines for the use of electronic devices while driving have more than doubled. Previously, fines were $167 with 3 penalty points. Now, drivers can expect at least a $368 fine and 4 penalty points.

Our North Vancouver driving instructors ensure that all new drivers are familiar with distracted driving laws and penalties. Distracted driving is the cause of many accidents, and at our driving school in North Vancouver, we encourage all drivers to put their phones down and focus their attention on driving safely!
