What is the best Driving School in Burnaby?

February 26, 2015

This is a question that many of you may have googled when looking for a driving school in Burnaby to do your road test with. It is a fair question and although every driving school likes to think they are the best, we can help you decide for yourself.

Important things to know when choosing a driving school

1. Are they ICBC certified?

Every driving school operating in the province of British Columbia must have certification from ICBC. Their instructors must be certified too. Gold Star Professional Driving School is ICBC certified and so are all of our instructors.

2. Will they book your road test?

If you are looking to purchase a Class 1 driving package or a Class 3 driving package, the Burnaby driving school of your choice is responsible for booking your road test. Our road test days are every Monday at ICBC in Burnaby.

3. Prices

Purchasing a driving package is a big investment, but one that will pay off in a short period of time. However, there is an average price for the package you are looking to get and there is no need to overpay by $500 - $2000. If you are being charged more than you should, you are most likely contributing to the driving schools' office expenses, advertising costs and employee salaries.

Gold Star Professional Driving School has cut out every unnecessary expense in order to keep our prices affordable. We don't have an office because we don't need an office. We accept all major credit cards, debit and cash and will bring our portable Moneris machine with us to take payment. We don't need to do major advertising because our website is search engine optimized. Word of mouth plays an important role in our business as well as our customer reviews.

4. Reviews

As mentioned above, you must check reviews. In any business, there will be happy customers and there will also be some unhappy ones. Unhappy customers can help improve and perfect a business and should be treated with importance. Take a look at what others have had to say about the driving school you are considering and see what their experience was like. It will definitely help you make your decision. We take our reviews to heart and make sure to respond and thank each and every person who has taken the time to write one whether it was positive or not.

5. Schedule and Working Hours

If you have a tight schedule and cannot commit to a specific time each day or week, talk to the driving school and explain this to them. Some instructors are ok with flexible hours and some are not. If they can't accomodate your schedule and work with your availability, dump them. You, the customer, are the reason why driving schools like ours are in business and if you need us out of bed at 3am we will be there. We have done a variety of lessons at all times of the day and our students have always been thankful for it.
